The home has emerged as the preferred location for healthcare delivery for many, fueled by the COVID-19 pandemic, technological advances and a desire to age at home. The “hospital at home” model has shown potential to reduce costs and improve the patient experience without sacrificing overall health outcomes. As the U.S. continues to shape its adoption of the “hospital at home” models and regulations, it can look outside its borders to countries like Australia where successful models have been in place for over a decade.
